a Corporate Purchasing Manager Materials (M/F)

Job description

  • You are executively responsible for the expenditure and contracts within a number of material groups.
  • You will manage the supply strategies, the supplier relationships and lead the negotiatios and contracting for all items in these material groups.
  • You will collaborate closely with sales to support acquisition of new business.
  • You will as well support Value Engineering teams with focus on improvement of the profitabiliy of existing business.
  • You will hold suppliers accountable for their supply performance to our sites and support the country purchasing managers in their work, when required. 

Key accountabilities

  1. Supplier Management
    - Supply market assessment
    - Volume and requirement tracking
    - Sourcing strategy development
    - Tendering and negotiation
    - Contract implementation
  2. Technology Management
    - Development of integrated systems
    - Advancement of supplier's capabilities
    - Scouting for new technology
    - Application and implementation of alternative specifications (multi homologation)
  3. IT & Processes
    - Owner of the buying processes in corporate ERP system
    - Roll out of buying software
    - Responsible for Master Data

Your profile

  • You are highly-educated and strong in IT-systems and you have a clear interest in materials.
  • You show a strong analytical spirit and you can easily work with figures and understand them.
  • You work accurately and you’re a true problem solver.
  • Furthermore, you are flexible and a real team-player.
  • Good communication (English and French desirable) and conviction skills are very important characteristics as well.
